GRAPHIC NOVEL WORKSHOP EXHIBITIONS

Student work at the Troy, NY Public Library

THE EXHIBITION: Some of the schools and libraries have organized an art show, exhibiting the students' work. It is good for a teen’s self-esteem to see their work on display. It also attracts a lot of attention to the institution, and often results in articles in local newspapers. Any press showing an artist’s work is excellent for a student who is applying to a school, especially an art school. Many times, a double session (3 hours) is scheduled at the end of the course to complete the work and hang the show.
